Tackle Shack staff member Tim Vincent found some nice bream over the last few weeks from the lower Hopkins. At this cold time of year, especially with all the increased flows in the rivers, bream tend to school up and move deep. Heavy soft plastics (1/12-1/6th oz) and blades are the best lures for bream during winter and spring, and while it may be cold out there you might just find a hot bream bite.
