It's no secret; Ed Richardson loves his cray diving. So he built a boat just for it! This 4.8m Bulldog was designed for cray diving along the Shipwreck Coast; being nimble, spacious and rugged. These same qualities also make it the ideal boat for the Top End rivers; Ed heads up to the Daly annually chasing barramundi. With a 100hp tiller steer Suzuki bolted to the rear, it leaves a huge amount of deck space free which has been cleared of any obstructions such as consoles or casting decks, to allow for maximum fishing and storage room when several mates and all their dive gear (and Yeti eskies!) are aboard. The hull was also fitted with a number of modifications and inclusions; such as a 100l underfloor fuel tank, rear roll bar with 4 rod holders and a tow point, anchor well, machined rod holder, sump plate strut upgrade, and a side door for simple diving access. The Easytow trailer had a Boat Catch and retractable Boat Buckles fitted, and the hull was layered with fresh SeaDek. A Garmin GPSMap 8410 was fitted to the gunnel on a swiveling mount, and up the front went a Minn Kota electric motor running a BLA lithium 24v battery. There's few boats out there designed for a specific purpose that do it as well as this one, whilst still remaining extremely versatile.
