There is nothing like local knowledge- and the Tackle Shack offers that in abundance. Our dedicated team is just as addicted to fishing as you- some may say they live and breathe fishing! All forms of local fishing are catered to, whether trolling for 150kg tuna is your passion or hiking up the Merri River for trout. The Tackle Shack is also home to the south-west’s largest range of Yeti drinkware, apparel and outdoor gear; a brand growing exponentially in popularity each season.


Our friendly staff can always be found on the water when not in the shop. Corey McLaren, is a known bream fishing guru who regularly tours Victoria fishing the Vic Bream and ABT tournaments but also enjoys mulloway fishing in the south-west rivers. You’ll often find Corey fishing his way along the local estuaries or bays, aboard his well equipped Quintrex 490 Renegade, with an incredible Garmin electronics setup delivering all the information and control he needs. Corey has years of experience in the tackle industry- there’s nothing he can’t answer!
 
Tim Vincent is a freshwater fishing tragic, having fished all over Australia in both salt and freshwater, but is most at home kayak fishing for estuary perch, bass or Murray cod. He also spends countless long days each year hiking the most wild and remote trout rivers of the region, and soaking a bait on the beach in search of sharks or whiting. However, there’s hardly a fishing style Tim hasn’t tried, be it barramundi, mako sharks, GTs, tuna and everything in between! 

Max Kandage is a fly fishing young gun who's joined the crew. Max comes from a strong passion of fishing his whole life, but the last couple of years have seen Max capture some incredible fish in fresh and saltwater, including his first barrel tuna and some fantastic bream, trout and EP captures on fly.
