This would be one of the best 2050s ever built! With no expense spared and plenty of custom work going into this build, it all paid off in the end with a well-used boat that can be found catching tuna and snapper all along Australia's east coast. Starting with a 2023 Stabicraft 2050 Supercab, we fitted a Suzuki 175ATX and went with a G Fab custom trailer for this build. The G Fab was optioned up to include a 6000lb synthetic rope winch, Boatcatch, electric brakes and 13" alloy rims, Boat Buckles and custom stone guards made up for protection. The hull was optioned up also to include a rear curtain and sides, twin Icey Tek split lid eskies, live bait tank, U Dek flooring, vertical rod storage, external coaming handrails, electric motor mount, stage 3 (full) white paint, and painted boarding ladder handrail and coaming handrails.
Starting with electronics, we went all out with a Garmin GPSMap 8416 head unit (and VPC022R mapping), with twin SS175HW and SS175L 1kw thru hull transducers. There was also a second head unit, an Echomap 95SV UHD2 which went onto a bracket on the bait board. A Fusion RA770 sound system went in, as did a Garmin VHF 315i VHF radio. Additionally, there's Garmin Autopilot, a Garmin AIS 800 transciever, and a Garmin digital switching module to organise the whole system.
Of course a package like this needs an electric motor and a good battery system to back it up; so on went a Minn Kota Terrova 80lb 72" with a 24V lithium battery and DCDC charger, plus a Prosport HD on board battery charger.
Lighting was taken care of with Stedi C4 cube lights, Hella red/white strip lights under the gunwales, Hella light on the baitboard, a Stedi 12" double row lightbar on the roof, two more Stedi C4 cubes on the trailer, and Hella lighting on the cabin roof.
Other fitted options included Shockwave suspension seat bases, Travel Buddy marine oven, Evo360 rod holders, a push button tap on the gunwale for handwashing, Scanstrut wireless phone charger, dual studs for electric reels, dual USB power outlets, spin knob steering wheel, and Lectrotab trim tabs.
It's a seriously good boat, and one we are all very jealous of but stoked to see it landing some excellent fish off the coast!
