We've done a few of these 2250s now, but this one was definitely a standout. It joins several other fellow 2250s in the south east of South Australia; an ideal rig for the shark and tuna fishing, plus cray potting, to be done down there. The Sportfish model comes very well equipped from factory with all kinds of accessories (including transom walk thru, downrigger/electric reel wiring, vee berth & folding extensions, Superfish transom box with rear fold down seats, bolster seats, seat box with storage, U-Dek flooring & coamings, rear cabin chilly bin seats, washdown pump, rear boarding ladder, Maxwell drum winch, Fusion Apollo head unit & Signature speakers x 4, and lots of lighting just to name a few). Hull options fitted to this one included a rear curtain, toilet, radar tower, Game Transom with tuna tubes and live bait tank, Lenco trim tabs, closed cell baffling, electric motor bracket, and painted rails. You might also notice a custom colour; it's been painted in a Toyota metallic dark grey from factory to match a Landcruiser graphite!
On first went Suzuki's DF300BTX outboard; with the game changing Optimus electronic steering package. A very comprehensive electronics package followed; starting with a complete Enerdrive lithium electrical package with solar and 36V converter. Garmin was well represented with a GPSMap 8416 on the dash, an 8410 on the hard top facing the deck, twin 1kw thru hull transducers (SS175HW and 175L), GMR18 radar, 115i VHF radio, VPC415S mapping, MSC10 satellite compass and a Reactor 40 autopilot system. Since it was heading over to SA, it needed a pot puller so on went our favourite RL Welding pot puller on the gunnel. Lighting was taken care of thanks to Stedi with a 14" double row lightbar on the roof and Ocean LED underwater lights. The walk around cabin makes for easy use of a manual deploy Minn Kota so on went a Terrova 72" 112lb with a quick release bracket and waterproof plug. What more could you add to such a package!
