The standard Ultracab was discontinued by Stabicraft last year (XL model still in production) so this was one of the last available. Staying local here in SW Victoria, it was fully kitted up for game fishing off our famous coastline. The first thing you'll notice is the striking contrast between the gloss blue paint and teak U-Dek flooring; we love it. The 2500 can be fitted with maximum 400hp so we bolted on a pair of Suzuki DF200APXs with a full Optimus electronic steering kit, including Autopilot. The hull itself was well optioned from the Stabi factory with selected options including an electric toilet with privacy curtain, rear wall with bi fold locking doors, Lenco trim tab, Stage 3 paint, washdown pump kit, and painted rails. We went with a heavy duty locally made Easytow tandem trailer; with full PE skids, electric brakes, Boat Buckles, a Boat Catch and 15" alloy rims. The electronics package was pretty comprehensive; with a Garmin GPSMap 8410, GPSMap 8416, 3kw transducer (CM599LH), MSC10 compass, GSD26 module, Reactor 40 autopilot, and a GMR24 radar, plus a GME GX750 radio and Fusion stereo system. Since the boat was being used for game fishing, a set of Swingers outriggers with Precision rods 18ft carbon poles went on, and 2 Evolution 360 degree rod holders. The side pockets were lined with Seadeck and had gaff holders installed. A few other handy little additions include a Travel Buddy marine oven, push button hand washers on the gunwale, and a custom fabricated box behind the port seat to fit a drawer fridge with a cushion with a matching one on starboard for tackle trays.
