2024 Stabicraft 1450 Frontier

12 Dec 24

Could this be the best 1450 around? We reckon it's a pretty close contender! Not only striking in looks, this 1450 has been incredibly well equipped to conquer any inshore fishing option in Australia. Being based in South Australia's central outback, the owner plans to head south chasing the hard fighting whiting, kings and other species along the SA coast as well as heading up the highway to the Top End after the mighty barra. And what a boat to do it from!

You'll notice the GFAB trailer instantly; these premium alloy trailers are built to the highest standards and really create a beefy on road presence. Of course, he will appreciate the build quality when bouncing down a corrugated, red dirt road in the Centre. On the rear we have a Suzuki DF60, with the hull receiving a re-rating from KPS Maritime.  Steering has been swapped out to hydraulic, a worthwhile upgrade. Also on the transom is an OceanLED X-Series underwater light and the factory optioned live bait tank; after all, you've gotta keep those kingie livies happy! Other fitted factory options include black U-Dek flooring, electric motor mount, and the stage 1 metallic red paint. This red paint is complemented by a stunning matte black wrap by Cassign, with matching red rego numbers and logos.

Electronics wise, we have gone to town with a full Garmin setup. Up the front is the black 63" Force Kraken, a saltwater ready brushless electric which links in to the full range of Garmin products. This is powered by a BLA marine grade lithium 24v battery, providing enough power to run a few days on the water off a single charge. On the console we have a 12" Garmin Echomap Ultra head unit; alongside a GME GX750 radio and a Fusion RA-60 stereo system. The options don't end there! We have fitted a full lighting package with a Stedi C4 Cube light on the bow, under gunnel strip lighting, navigation lights and anchor light. On top of that, there's been a deck wash, bilge pump, full offshore safety kit, custom battery tray - and to tie in with the black/red theme, a black Railblaza bait board. Seriously, we couldn't think of anything better than blasting along the SA coast aboard this beauty!
