We've just completed building this fantastic 2400 Supercab! It's headed across the Nullabor to WA where it'll spend its days travelling up and down the coast in search of some of the best bluewater fishing available. And being a 2400, it's perfectly capable and comfortable when the weather turns pear shaped on those long range trips. So what did we fit?
The package started off with a Suzuki DF250APX motor, and rides on an Easytow tandem trailer with electric brakes, 14" alloys with a Boat Catch and Boat Buckles. There was plenty of options fitted to the hull from factory; including V-Berth fold down extensions with squabs, a rear cabin wall, matching seat boxes with 72l Icey Teks, trim tabs, painted hand and bow rails, U-Dek flooring and coamings, closed cell baffling, a washdown pump kit, electric motor bracket and stage 3 full paint in metallic dark blue. The colour really pops in the sun!
We went further adding a complete Garmin electronics package; this included a GPSMap 8416 (with a mapping card), twin 1kw transducers (SS175HW and SS175L), Garmin GSD28 module and MSC10 marine compass. Fitted to the bow was Garmin Force Kraken motor, with a BLA 36v lithium battery package. GME looked after communications with a VHF radio, and we added Stedi lighting to the roof and deck plus additional cabin LED lighting. A bit of custom work was also done; including handrails inside the cabin door, a port seat box with drawers, and a travel cover for the long drive out west.
